Biography

Erin Kemper is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in New Media & Spatial Arts at Northern Kentucky University (expected graduation date: 2022). She is from the Greater Cincinnati region while continues to travel to new locations.

Kemper works with installations, light art, metal, ceramic sculptures, and lens-based media that is specialized in pushing the boundaries of creative expression by digital transformation. She utilizes these elements with video mapping and creates sequenced visuals that correlate to audio.

Recently, Kemper was nominated by faculty and peers to be a member of the Visual Art Student Council. This new program increases communication with art students and professors, including the direction of areas. Erin also was chosen to be on the Creatives team, which directs studio art construction for installations and the entire transformation of a venue. Notably, Erin collaborated with Afterlife Music Festival, Cincinnati’s first electronic music festival, in August 2020.

Kemper strives to try to explore new mediums and technology to expand her knowledge as an artist. Her work is typically abstract, with hidden messages, psychedelic undertones, with an emphasis on connection as a whole. Erin enjoys inviting the viewer to actively think about the concepts of her creative work and how it relates to the individual.
